Stabilization of Cd and Pb in the contaminated soils by applying modified fly ash

This study investigated the stabilization of heavy metals by adding modified fly ash (FA) to contaminated soils, and two similar materials, NaOH-zeolite (ZE) natural zeolite (ZO) were introduced into soils for comparison. Column leaching tests conducted analyze difference effects between three materials. Leaching columns run 6 months, a considerable in was observed. The concentration cadmium (Cd) lead (Pb) amended soil substantially decreased (p <0.05). results indicated that after 11 weeks column leaching, Cd Pb concentrations leachate below detection limit due amendment stabilization. Among amendments, ZE showed optimum capacity metal immobilisation soils. In addition, months with different amendments various degrees. FA better than those ZO. Coal FA, modification, is useful remediation soil.
